I made this video after a student let me know that they were feeling pretty lost and confused. It summarizes just what you need to know now in order to be able to make sense of what we are doing in class (with the 1st excited states of the -1/r potential in 3D). It focuses on making "off-center states" through combinations of states, which is what we are working on currently with the H-atom 1st excited states, and is very important to understanding quantum physics and chemistry.
